Rev. Denise has a background in Music and Drama -  and was a music drama specialist for many years in Nashville.  Along with that job – she was a back up singer for a jingle company and she performed at Opryland USA in I Hear America Singing.  Somewhere along the way she decided she needed to find herself and entered a Master’s Program in Psychology at Trevecca.  Upon finishing that program she became a Child and Family Therapist at the Tennessee School for the Blind.  She worked there for 15 years assisting students, families and teachers to step into a more joy filled life.  During that time she also began to study New Thought. 

 Rev. Denise began her journey in Unity at First Church Unity in Nashville.  She says that during her first year here, she literally cried every Sunday morning and hung out on the back row – just in case.  She finally made her way into the choir and music team with Richard Mecdecci.  When she made a move in residence she visited Unity Church for Positive Living and quickly was asked to assist them in putting together a music program.  She became the Music Minister in 1998.  During the next few years she worked closely with the ministers of UCPL to grow the music program there into a dynamic magnet using the Law of Attraction. 

In 2002, the minister of UCPL became ill and moved to Florida to be closer to her family.  Denise stepped into the leadership position with the intentions of holding the space during the interim process.  Rev. Dr. Gary Simmons and Denise worked with UCPL for 18 months and at the end of that time recommended to the Association of Unity Churches that Denise step in as the Spiritual Leader and step into the Field Licensing Process.  Denise is now an Ordained Unity Minister.  When asked what the last 6 years has been like she will just reply -  “It has been a polishing process for myself and the congregation.  We had to get really real about who we were and what we were about as a congregation.  Tapping Into What Is Real!” 

Everyone is welcome to attend this event, we suggest a 50.00 love offering for the full day workshop.
